Mike and Erin had been living in his former bachelor pad, a condo in the heart of Downers Grove, for several years when they decided to transform it into their dream home. The space needed to work for them, their teenage son, and their hairless rat terrier, Mitch. Michelle Gentile Interiors worked with the couple to select a sophisticated combination of traditional and modern fixtures throughout the home, along with coastal elements featuring Erin’s favorite color: blue. Special touches include a barn door to enclose the laundry room, an inlaid herringbone wood floor in the kitchen, and high-end wallpaper in the bathroom. From the pool table to the wet bar, the newly revamped space helps everyone feel at home.
