When Maria lost her husband, it took about seven years before she felt ready to reclaim her home as her own. She originally requested help transforming a few rooms, but the project snowballed into a much bigger renovation. The project team consisted of MGI, TMO Construction, Hines Lumber,  and Sprovieri's custom countertops.

  • In the kitchen, the project team removed a wall, added a full pantry, upgraded to Rejuvenation lighting, and installed Dura Supreme Cabinetry and custom-colored BlueStar appliances to complement the new granite-topped bar and Calia Stone Boutique island. A unique decorative wall piece features Rudraksha stones to enhance positive energy and strength within the space.

  • In the primary bedroom, the team replaced the outdated furniture with an elegant double dresser, matching nightstands, and armoire.

  • In the powder room, the team painted the ceiling and trim and installed a new countertop, a stunning Mirror Home mirror, unique wallpaper from York Wallcoverings, and sophisticated lighting and hardware.

  • In the office, the team painted the built-in bookshelves behind Maria’s husband’s custom-built desk and installed wallpaper and a colorful rug to unify the space.

  • In the foyer, the team replaced the staircase banisters and railings, restained the wood finishes, and put in new flooring throughout the lower level.

At the completion of her renovation, Maria texted Michelle: “I want you to know that I LOVE my house now, and I haven’t felt that way in a VERY long time. Thanks for all you have done.”

SHORT VERSION]

Maplewood Place

After Maria’s husband died, seven years passed before she felt ready to reenvision her home as her own. The project began as a small update and grew into a more holistic renovation of her kitchen, primary bedroom and bath, powder room, office, and foyer. From the granite-topped bar and Calia Stone Boutique kitchen island to the carefully crafted bathroom wall niches, the project team combined big, bright centerpieces with meaningful details. Michelle even hand-selected a Rudraksha stone wall piece to enhance positive energy and strength within the space, and she found the perfect rug to unify the honey tones of Maria’s husband’s desk and the deep blues of the freshly painted built-in bookcases. At the completion of her renovation, Maria texted Michelle: “I want you to know that I LOVE my house now, and I haven’t felt that way in a VERY long time. Thanks for all you have done.”
